Micro-Learning Session
For the past few years, DEI (diversity, equity and inclusion) has evolved rapidly and become ever more important for workplaces. In 2020 alone, the subject was thrown into a global spotlight as one of the key “make-or-break” issues for Millennials and Generation Z that impact employee engagement and corporate responsibility.
In Asia, diversity is built into the fabric of many international work spaces, but do our employees and leaders really know what DEI means? Do they know how their behaviours affect others both inside and outside of the organisation? And do they understand why it is important to their careers and shaping the workplace of the future?
In this session, we will explore the background of DEI and its relevance to Asian workplaces. We will look at examples – good and bad – that highlight where inclusion is important. Finally, we will look at ways to increase sensitivity to DEI issues and how to adapt our communication and behaviours towards bringing out an inclusive workplace.
